Our members come to our gym for a number of reasons. They want to lose fat. They hope to gain muscle mass. They want to ready themselves for the summer season. They want to train for a specific sport. But, ultimately, they want to live longer, happier and healthier lives. In our experience we have found that no two members are alike.

I came to Crossfit Independence a little over two years ago after having worked out in a normal chain gym for several years. I thought I was in good shape…boy was I wrong! The workouts at Crossfit Independence are amazing and the coaching staff are able to modify it them to fit any skill level. Both my strength and cardiovascular endurance have increased greatly during my time here and the workouts have kept pushing me every step of the way. Unlike in previous gyms, I look forward to working out every time and this enjoyment has helped me get in the best shape of my life. Over the course of the last year, along with a balanced diet, I was able to drop over 50lb of fat and I continue to progress on my fitness goals.
When I started going to CFI. I can’t even describe how nervous I was the first time I went, but it quickly became my favorite hobby. The environment was so supportive and nonjudgmental to everyone who walked through the door no matter what their fitness level was. I was able to set goals for myself and achieve them all while my body became stronger than I ever thought it could be. The workouts made me push myself, and when I didn’t think I could possibly go any further there was someone by my side telling me that I could, and in fact I did. It didn’t matter what the exercise was, the coaches at CFI have taught me that the only thing that limits me is my own mind. CFI is not just a gym, it’s a place of camaraderie and family. It is the healthiest addiction I have ever had and I am not afraid to admit it.
